A rare opportunity to hear outstanding works for guitar and choir as the Hanser McClellan duo join the Chorus in works by Villa-Lobos and Castelnuovo-Tedesco. Unusual arrangements for this musical combination range from Juan de Anchieta’s villancico Con Amores to Bachianas Brasileiras No. 5, and Pachelbel’s Canon. The program, directed by Mary Chapman and Orin Johnson, also includes two odes for lutes and lyres, by Zoltan Kodaly and Sasha Johnson Manning.
