Brian Reeves

Brian Reeves has been choral director at Parkway North High School in Creve Coeur since the fall of 1996. There he directs all five choirs as well as an after-school ensemble. Brian was recently named the 2000 Parkway North Teacher of the Year.

A native of Des Moines, Iowa, Brian graduated from Southwest Missouri State University, then taught four years in the Kansas City area before coming to Parkway. Brian is the past Junior High Choral Vice-President of the West Central Missouri Music Educators Association (1994-1996), High School Choral Vice-President for the St. Louis Suburban Music Educators Association (1997-1999) and the State Repertoire and Standards Chair for Male Choirs for the Missouri Choral Directors' Association (1997-1999).

Brian is an active clinician/adjudicator around the state, directing various honor choirs including the 1998 Central Missouri Music Educators' All-District Honor Choir.

A former member of the Kansas City Symphony Chorus and Chorale Francis Poulenc, Brian currently sings with the St. Louis Chamber Chorus, St. Peter's Epicopal Church, and Congregation Shaare Emeth. He studies voice with Sheila Dugan.
