The Saint Louis Chamber Chorus is an independent organization depending upon three sources of income: grants, ticket sales and private support. Since grants and ticket prices cover less than half the cost of producing quality concerts, we urge you to join our dedicated band of supporters by selecting one of the membership categories listed below. Membership brings with it various premiums and privileges, together with the satisfaction of sustaining St. Louis’s premier a cappella ensemble now in its fifth decade. Without your help this unique artistic treasure of St. Louis cannot be secured for future generations of listeners and performers.
Many companies will match their employees’ contribution, and your membership level can be increased by such a match. For example, if your company matches your donation, your contribution of $250 plus your employer’s match will count as $500, giving you a Patron membership.
All donors are mailed a newsletter from the Artistic Director prior to each concert giving advance information on the program as well as information on best seating and parking. Supporters also enjoy reserved seating at some concerts, and receive private invitations to closed rehearsals and other Chorus events throughout the season.
To become a donor you may print out and use our Order Form. For further information, please call our message service at (636) 458-4343 or write to Saint Louis Chamber Chorus, P.O. Box 11558, Clayton, Missouri 63105.
The Chamber Chorus comprises some of the most talented choral singers in the St. Louis area, and drawing from this membership we are able to form a vocal octet to perform for your special occasion. Programs are created to meet your individual needs, whether it be a Christmas reception, birthday party, wedding, or memorial service. This ‘deluxe’ group is directed by Orin Johnson, the Assistant Conductor of the Chorus, who would be delighted to discuss the different uses that you can make of the Octet, and who can create programs of music with or without readings to suit your requirements.
A charge is made for the Octet, which includes the fees for the director and performers. The residual amount is credited to the Chorus’ general operating fund. By engaging the Octet, then, you are not only enjoying the services of great musicians, but you are also assisting the Chorus as a whole.
