The Fire of Love

Cupid lies at the heart of a fiery text set by Renaissance masters, Arcadelt and Lassus, while Verdelot’s version subsequently inspired Guerrero to compose a complete ‘parody mass’ based on its theme. The Little Love-God written in the 1940s by the Italian maestro, Castelnuovo-Tedesco, receives its US première, while John Conahan, Elaine Hagenberg and Francis Pott present contemporary songs of love.

Parking is in the hotel lot next to the church on the north side of Washington Ave. There is a door on the southeast corner of the church that has a ramp that leads to the first floor where there is an elevator in the hall leading to the 2nd floor sanctuary. There are bathrooms on both floors. Bring or purchase your SLCC seat cushions, as you will find the wooden pews very hard.
